For more than 15 years, I’ve been creating retreats that invite people to slow down, pick up a brush, gather around a beautiful table and rediscover the joy of making. Somewhere along the way, I started promising everyone, “I’ll get you the recipes!”
Well, finally, I have. RETREAT gathers recipes, art, stories and photographs from years of gathering to create in beautiful places. Part cookbook, part travelogue, it’s an invitation to bring a little of the spirit of retreat home with you.
The premium first-edition hardcover is available HERE ONLY, artist-direct for $58 (Canadian dollars). Shipping in late October within Canada. Local pick-up also available in Victoria BC, Canada.
* RETREAT will also be available through select local bookstores—to be announced *
PREFER A SOFTCOVER EDITION? Both softcover and hardcover print-on-demand editions of RETREAT are available to order through FriesenPress and Amazon.
ORDERING FROM THE U.S.
My first-edition hardcover is only available within Canada. With the current costs and complications of cross-border shipping, it simply isn’t feasible for me to ship this edition directly to the U.S. at this time.
RETREAT is landing October 15.
At long last, I can give you an actual date.
RETREAT: Recipes & Stories to Nourish the Creative Soul will be available October 15.
After years of making it, months of talking about it, and what feels like an eternity saying “coming soon,” the beautiful, traditionally printed hardcover is finally making its way here.
This book holds so much of what I love: painting, food, travel, gathering, creativity, beautiful tables, stories, recipes, and the particular kind of magic that happens when we make room in our lives for all of it.
